The Syviidae formerly also contained the Acrocephalidae (Reed-warblers), Locustellidae (Grasshopper-warblers & Grassbirds), Scotocercidae (Bush-warblers) and Phylloscopidae (Leaf-warblers) but these have all now been awarded Family status in their own right and species allocated to these new families can be found in the relevant family pages.
