Also, occasionally known as Many-plumed Moth, the Twenty-plume Moth is the only representative of the Alucitidae that occurs in Britain.
Like all members of the Alucitidae, both the forewings and hindwings are divided into several feathered spines (6 on each wing in the case of Twenty-plume Moth).
They adopt several different postures when at rest, ranging from having their wings fully folded to fully spread.
The larvae feed on Honeysuckle (Lonicera periclymenum) and adults can be found on the wing during any month of the year.
