Lozotaeniodes formosana was first recorded in Britain in 1945. Since then it has colonised most of southern England and the Midlands and is continuing to expand its range northwards into Yorkshire and westwards into Wales. It is found in woodlands and gardens where Scots Pine, its larval foodplant, grow.
