The Lynx Spiders are fast, agile hunters whose visual acuity is good enough to be able to distinguish prey or a mate at a distance of around 10cm despite their eyes being much smaller than members of the Salticidae and Lycosidae.

Family members are easily identified by the hexagonal arangement of their eyes and the very long spines on their legs.
