Little Owls are mainly crepuscular in their activities, but are also often seen hunting during the day. In the UK it is a non-native species, being introduced to Northamptonshire by Lord Lilford in 1888 and, helped by further introductions in the early part of the 20th Century, has since spread throughout most of England and Wales and parts of southern Scotland.
