Bewick's Swan is differentiated from the nominate race of Tundra Swan by having much more extensive yellow at the base of the bill with a more thickset neck which makes the neck look shorter than on the nominate race of Tundra Swan.
Bewick's Swans breed in Arctic Russia and spend the winter in western Europe and eastern China, Korea and Japan.
