November 2009
November was a month of huge upheaval for me after being offered a job in Nottingham University. Most of my time was spent preparing to move to Nottingham, but I did manage to find a bit of spare time, between finishing packing my belongings and getting the keys to my new house, for a short break on the north Norfolk coast.

November is not exactly the most exciting month to visit Norfolk, but the large numbers of wintering wildfowl provide plenty of photographic opportunities...

During the midday storm, with the dark clouds overhead and the rain lashing down, a Barn Owl came floating over the reads directly towards the hide...shame the light was so poor!
