Northern Fulmar
Fulmarus glacialis
North Yorkshire, England - May 2009
Fulmars take the longest time to mature to adulthood of any British bird. After fledging, their first 4 years are spent entirely at sea. During the breeding season of the next 5 years they spend their time visiting potential nest sites before finally settling down to rear chicks.
Sutherland, Scotland - June 2003
